Lauren Fielder
Attorney
Lauren Fielder is a seasoned business and M&A attorney who helps buyers, investors, and business owners navigate complex deals with clarity and confidence. She is the founder of The Fielder Law Firm, where she leads a practice focused on protecting clients through every stage of the business lifecycle—whether forming a new company, acquiring an existing business, or managing post-close growth. Lauren frequently represents searchers and small funds acquiring lower middle market businesses, and she is known for combining strategic insight with a steady, practical approach that gets deals done.
Lauren holds a J.D., an LL.M. in International and Latin American Law, and a Swiss Ph.D. in Law. Her background includes deep expertise in international law, cross-border transactions, and global legal systems—experience that adds unique value for clients navigating regulatory complexity or pursuing global ambitions. She’s advised on transactions across industries including healthcare, tech, professional services, manufacturing, and the skilled trades, and she’s often retained post-closing to serve as outside general counsel, providing long-term legal support and strategic guidance.
In addition to her legal practice, Lauren is a longtime professor of law. She has taught and spoken on U.S. and international law across five continents and brings both intellectual depth and business pragmatism to her work. She is deeply committed to helping clients feel informed, empowered, and protected at every step.

Kevin V. Haynes
Attorney
Kevin Haynes is a corporate and M&A attorney with extensive experience advising clients on high-stakes business transactions. He began his legal career at Wilson Sonsini in Palo Alto, where he represented technology companies, investment banks, and venture capital funds in complex mergers, acquisitions, public offerings, and financings. His later work at Wyrick Robbins expanded his deal experience across industries and included advising public and private companies on SEC compliance, credit facilities, and capital markets transactions. From billion-dollar private equity deals to midmarket acquisitions, Kevin has a keen understanding of how to structure and close deals efficiently and with sound risk management.
In addition to his legal practice, Kevin is a law professor who has taught Contracts, Business Associations, and Professional Responsibility. His teaching is grounded in real-world deal experience and a deep understanding of transactional law. At The Fielder Law Firm, Kevin works closely with buyers, investors, and operators—especially those acquiring or scaling lower middle market businesses. He brings the polish and technical skill of big-firm practice to a more hands-on, responsive, and client-centered environment.

Christi is a certified paralegal and experienced business professional who ensures our deals stay organized, on track, and moving efficiently. With over 20 years of business operations and management experience—including retail, franchise, and national expansion—she brings real-world insight to every transaction. Christi is a member of the State Bar of Texas’ Paralegal Division and works closely with clients across the business lifecycle, supporting entity formation, restructuring, intellectual property protection, and mergers and acquisitions. She combines meticulous attention to detail with a calm, solutions-focused approach that helps our clients feel supported and confident through every stage of a deal.
